We regularly host specialized, knowledgeable facilitators offering a wide variety of retreats, including yoga, art, photographic, cooking, and various spiritual and health retreats. Offering a home to home experience with comfortable en-suite bedrooms, excellent vegetarian food and caring management
Accommodation
We offer six spacious comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms sleeping 12 people in a large old farmhouse dating back to the 1800’s set in a large established garden. Five of the bedrooms lead out into the garden.
There is an lovely open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen featuring wooden floors and sash windows and fireplaces.
A large gorgeous space with big picture windows, views, bathrooms and a deck is where the yoga, art and spiritual retreats take place.
At this point we only rent out the entire house fully catered or self catered
We are not equipped for individual bookings or camping at this point.
Studio
Featured is the beautiful studio overlooking the garden, indigenous forest and the Inhlazele peak. We have wooden floors, a fireplace for cold nights, large pictures windows that provide beautiful light. This sacred healing space features two ablution facilities and a large wooden deck leading down to a large fire pit. There are 3 doors leading out from the studio to provide excellent airflow.

An intimate beautiful retreat centre in the Natal Midlands surrounded by indigenous forests, mountains and pristine rivers. Comfortable rooms, welcoming staff, delicious healthy vegetarian food, spring water and pure fresh mountain air await you in this exquisite peaceful, serene, relaxed place in nature.
The source of the mighty uMgeni river flows on the boundary of our 12 hectareproperty and the foothills of the Drakensberg rise behind the retreat centre. We have the right to walk on the greater New Forest 1100 hectare farm and fly fish at Lake Lyndhurst, an 80 hectare trout dam above the retreat. The uMgeni vlei nature reserve is a very short distance away from the farm in the hills and mountains above the farm.
The infamous Gumtree hill of the Joberg2c cycle race is 200 metres from our entrance gate and the mountains and hills are perfect for cycling, hiking, trail running or just strolling.
Our night sky’s are breathtaking on a clear night as there is no light pollution in the area, the stars are crystal clear and shooting stars are regularly seen. The bird and wildlife is prolific and we go to sleep listening to owls, tree hyraxes and jackals and of course crickets.
Nottingham Road and the Midlands Meander are within easy access of the farm, providing excellent coffee shops, restaurants, unique stores and interesting historic places to visit.
